Theater der jungen Welt & Robert

dsc_0026-newhow to become god in one hour and twelve minutes, performed by Violetta Czok, Chris Lopatta and Bettina Frank

Robert got the opportunity to learn how to work with actors at the Theater der jungen Welt in Leipzig. This is a theatre-company , making work especially for children and youth. After having hosted the ritual Towe of Babel - which Robert initiated together with the dutch director Lidy Six,- Tdjw asked Robert if there was something he wanted to make with them. He made a piece about the status of creativity ( for 15+), called “How to become God in one hour and twelve minutes”. A year later he was asked again and he directed a text of the English writer Mike Kenny about Alzheimer and gardening ( for 8+). In spring 2009 he makes his third piece there, which feels like a celebration of his first wto performances. This new performance celebrates his personal fasciations into the grotesque: it will be about the seriousness of performance art, the glamour of fashion, and the depth of shamanistic rituals. This piece for three actors is called: Die box/ top secrect stories. It will be part of a puppet and object festival in Bautzen/Sachsen, and later it will premiere in Leipzig in the museum for modern art.
