Twice united sorry was invited to join an exchange programme between artists of movement research in new york and austrian choreographers.

In june 2008 robert went alone, and explored in a short solo how to dance and become an absent person very litterally. Frans wasn’t there, because he just had his second child, so Robert presented their work by being himself but also by ebodying Frans, showing excerpts of their work. Because it was in the judson church he chose for a theatrical format in which all the costumes, music and texts of the different pieces were presented as reliques, before he woukld use them. The embodying of Frans became part of the make believe of religious magic. It played in the same way with beliefsystems as in Roberts solo ” I am a reborn smoker”. The context was called “Transversality Lab”.

In the beginning of june 2009 robert and frans went together to the exchange, and they wanted to work with the collective Eagle Ager, with whom they found themselves very connected.

The rehearsals were amazing, in the sense, that we immediately tuned in into their way of working. No discussion about aesthetics, who does what etc. The idea is to collaborate more together, but that is not that easy, because of finding the support of money. but it will happen once that we once invite them for a big public community art event. we share the same approach to ritual formates of presenting our work and public participating in it. Our aetshetics are sometimes so naive, that there is place for untrained public to join in.
