as an exercise in going to the essence of their art in relation to society united sorry did a budhistic exercise to make a statement as a zen drawing: in one stroke, in a meditative state. it was a very short performance in the corridor between the dance studio’s of Tanzquartier where a lot of dancers daily come to practice their body. the two statements were: Frans: ‘only if you can laugh about yourself, you can dance.” And Robert: “only if you can die on stage you belong there.”. of course these lines are paradoxical: because you can only laugh baout yourself when you are deadly serious sometimes. And you are only ready to die, when you have fully lived.
