How close can you get with the curators who invite you? Very close when you are amazed by each others taste, thinking, emotions. Here Robert with Daniele Del Pozzo, the artistic director of the gender bender festival in Bologna. United Sorry discovered in Bologna that their work could be close to that of the sissy avantgarde. And really want to come back.

United sorry is slow, but produces a lot, and still must conquer the world. There is a lot in stock, which we want to present. so first a commercial txt to show what we still can present.

On the repertory

We always work in formats. So we just finished the theatreperformance format with “feminine delight ” which is the counterpart of our first theatre performance ” Frans Poelstra, his dramaturge and Bach.” These two theatre performances do mirror each other in a lot of ways. The Bach piece tries to be as real as possible, the women piece as fictious as possible. In the first piece we present ourselves, or let’s say our functions in the theatre. In the second piece we tell a story about a female choreographer, with all the pathos and sentiment the story needs. In the first piece robert talks, frans moves in the beginning, in the second piece frans has text and robert moves.

Bach is still on tour, Feminine Delight just start this season, in Graz, Vienna, Amsterdam and perhaps Brussels. And we want to show it everywhere.

We have a clubevent ” I am… in concert” to show, and several solo’s. In the solo’s Frans and Robert put their minds on the anatomy table.And we hope to do a lot of commission work as the intensifiers. we create this would be artistic duo to do interventions, hypnotized by the space or context around us.

So this was our selling story. now some brainstorm information about possible future projects.

es tut uns wirklich leid, wir möchten gerne für Euch tanzen, aber unsere Kleider sind nicht die Kleider des Kaisers. Wir verstecken unsere Bäuche nicht mehr länger und unsere Pirouetten heißen heutzutage postmodern, was sicher nicht hilfreich für deren Eleganz ist. Wir meinen es wirklich gut. Wir finden es wird höchste Zeit dass Ihr der modernen Kunst nicht länger den Rücken zukehrt.

We are working on a big community project around the statue of Marie Therese in the centre of Vienna together with the visual artist Roland Seidl. We think that she had too long her back to the museumquartier, facing the buildings of the government at the Heldenplatz. Our task will be to get her back in contact with the latest developments in arts and theatre, and also it is our wish to make propaganda for more motherenergy in political thinking, now father/son religions dictate so heavily the agenda of wars. After the two theatreperformances, based of on a structure of a ritual of change, we want to explore more text based theatre, with real dialogues, suggestive underlying drama’s, full of prententious one-liners. first we were thinking of a txt of marguerite duras, but frans thinks we have to write the txt ourselves. We are looking for some-one to direct us, and we have some one in in mind, but this person has to think about it…. ( season 2008/2009)
