Robert will give a workshop in Tanzquartier.
a workshop in testing shamanistic strategies to create dance work. This workshop will investigate the intuitive body, will study different energies to get the creativity going, and it will explore how the body can travel into different realities without losing itself in uncommunicative behavior. We must learn to ride the horse of magic thinking and magic role-playing without getting thrown off the saddle. My perspective to dance is till now very pracmagic, In other words, my interest is how to use in a practical way structures and content of shamans and shamanistic cultures. the workshop will include a lot of dancing and moving, but also acting, using our voice, writing, structuring our material into a performance context and of course questioning the status of this all. Why is it for a dancer necessary to explore the light and dark places of his mind. And does something as a collective unconscious exist in our lifes and culture and how can we as dancers and theatre makers communicate on a subconscious level with a public.
the workshop will be from 7th – 17th of january, monday -friday 10h – 12h, saturday 11-13h.
