snowing in vienna

It is snowing in vienna, I am here for two days, to organize some projects in the future, to meet Georg and Frans, in the meantime i read two books about the management culture of starbucks. It is nice to compare the work i do at the moment, with the selling strategies of feel good coffee. What i learn, is not to be aftraid to sell your work, and even to get in discussion with the people in the field who don’t like it. i had a very bad review in a dutch newspaper, it wasn’t even a review, she used our work in a column to show how people without a classical dance training (thta’s us) have the arrogance to give a comment on dance on stage. Unfortunatey she saw our performance “how low can you go”, which is our attempt to be as bad and arrogant in what we do as possible. We hope we can touch the people in their hearts by doing this: to be so bad that it become hilarious. But she wasn’t touched or amused, on the contrary she saw her prejudices about this kind of dance confirmed.
what to do. I wrote a letter about our work, frans read it, our manager read it, they said it was okay, and then i didnt send it, i just forgot it in the daily life activities of teaching. but it stays in my head, because i want to convince everyone. that’s not arrogant, that’s an ambition.
