Sometimes Frans Poelstra and Robert Steijn commit adultery, that means they do also other collaborations, without the other even knowing it. They have this agreement. That it is okay to work with other people because we want to have a big heart. United sorry claims to be an open relationship with each other.

In april 2010 Robert premiered a duet wit h Maria Hasabi, a New York based choregrapher in St Marks, in New York (15,16,17 april)The duet is called “Robert and Maria”. This collaboration is part of his research into collaborations, co-existing on stage with other artists who also take the body as the centre of their creation.

Robert practices still his skills as performer in the work of others. He collaborated with the Belgian choraographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker in “Keeping Still”/part one, perhaps it will be shown again in summer 2010. He also still performs in a piece of the French choreographer Latifa Labiissi, called “Histoire par celui qui la raconte” which premiered during Festival d’automne in Paris in december 2008.

As a dramaturge/asssitant robert works a lot with the sound artist Cilia Erens, who makes sound instalations and soundwalks. http://www.cilia-erens.nl/

And robert  work as a dramaturge in a project that premiered 13th of may 2010 in Kampnagel/Hamburg called gimme shelter, a family of two dancers ( Frank Willens and Ulrike Bodammer) and their little childs Elijas. They lived/performed in a construction made by Isa Melsheimer, it was an initiative of Tanzinitiative Hamburg, Irmela Kästner and Barbara Schmidt-Rohr.
